Christmas at the Beach

Here it is quiet; the sun is bright on white sands, the sky chasing the water from every direction. I am walking like a ghost in a dream - white and silver all around me. I am standing before a still glass sea that continues on with blurred edges and I see in the horizon the silver lining that I think I might peel back to see even farther - my mind reaching beyond the fuzzy white. These waves come pulling back, leaving bits of ocean secrets from years deep beneath the surface.

Standing in front of this spilling mass, I think of how the complex, infinite Creator could humbly come in the form of an infant. With love deeper than any ocean and mercies that extend as far as the east is from the west, how is it that peace was born in this Christmas child? I thank my God as I dig my toes deeper into the grainy sand.

Here are a few photos outlining my Christmas at Oak Island.. {sorry for the grainy quality} I hope your Christmas is merry and that your heart will repeat the sounding joy!
