ReplyDeleteNot very long ago, I was thinking of him again, sharing some of the truth about his life and his death. Oh, how we need to focus on men and women such as him who kept their hearts and eyes on the Lord during those horrifically torturous times. In our "Western" world in these past 60 years, we usually don't understand. I hope we will always stand up and step up for our Lord, no matter what the consequences can be. Thank you for dropping him back in my heart today. Need to read his book again.

ReplyDeleteWow. Whenever I read a quote from Bonhoeffer, it speaks straight to my heart. I have to confess, though — I've never read a book written by him. So, which of his books would you recommend as a starting point?
