DIY Shelving Unit / Book Shelf


So Aaron and I have been knee deep in projects around our new place. We loved this shelving unit from The Brick House and decided to give it a shot. It was quite a pain (for me, mostly, because I am not patient with DIY projects) but I have to say, it turned out great. Now don't get used to it :), but here are a few pictures of our latest project.

It took us about three hours to find all of the supplies and a whole Saturday to put it all together. There was a lot of sanding, staining, spray painting, etc. but in the end, it was definitely worth it. We love having a wall lined with books!     Don't get me wrong, the shelf is amazing! So sophisticated yet rustic - I absolutely love it! But knowing my husband, we would probably have gone to IKEA and been done with it. :)) XOXO
