Tunes of the Week: Anais Mitchell

Tuesday's Tunes of the Week is an incredible artist and I can't stop listening to her music. Anais Mitchell wrote Hadestown, a concept album that is referred to as a folk opera. Hadestown follows a narrative based on the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. Several talented artists are featured on her album including Justin Vernon and Ani DiFranco -- two of my favorites!
If you haven't heard of her already, I beg you to look up her music. Also, lock yourself in your room and listen to all of the tracks on Hadestown. Seriously, don't come out until you're staring at the cover art with your palm pressed against your forehead asking, "Why? Why have I gone so long without you, Anais!"
Enjoy Wedding Song (Hadestown) by Anais Mitchell. On the album, Justin Vernon sings with her and it is swoon-worthy. You can take my word for it.
